For a second season we will be based out of the Walker Ground in Southgate, the home of Southgate Adelaide men's hockey club. The clubhouse, which is just round the corner from Ashmole School, will be providing teas after matches, and we're aiming to link up with Adelaide for training and a number of social events throughout the season.

Pre-season inter-club game/social
There will be an informal inter-club game at Ashmole School on Saturday 26 September, from 10am to 12 noon, followed by a 'social' at the Walker Ground.

Training info
Training has now started! As always, it's at Ashmole School from 8.30pm to 9.30pm. As last season, there will be a 25/30-minute warm-up run (jog?) ahead of the session for anyone interested...

Subscriptions & match fees
Subscriptions will be held at the same level as last season - £120 for full members (increasing to £130 if not paid IN FULL by 31 October 2009). Junior members/concessions will be £60, with social members £40.

Match fees will also remain the same - £7 per game, home or away (£4 for students, juniors and those who are not earning).

Season start...
The first league games this season are on Saturday 3 October.

Student intake
Hendon and London Metropolitan University are continuing to work together to encourage London Met students to play their club hockey with Hendon. Even so, we remain on the look-out for new players, so keep your eyes and ears open. We're especially in need of anyone willing to put on the goalkeeping gear on a regular basis!

Any suggestions as to how we can attract new players are, of course, always welcome...

Fundraising
The club is breaking even at the moment but
it's a bit of a close thing, Pitches and training
are expensive so put your thinking caps on and come up with some inventive fundraising ideas. Again, talk to a committee member if you have come up with a great idea - and remember: we
now have a clubhouse facility at our disposal for club nights etc.
